About Makhdoom Sahab Shrine
The Makhdoom Sahib Shrine (also known as Hazrat Sultan-ul-Arifeen) is one of the most prominent Sufi shrines in Kashmir, situated on the southern slope of the Hari Parbat (Koh-i-Maran) hill in Srinagar. Dedicated To: Sheikh Hamza Makhdoom (RA), popularly known as Sultan-ul-Arifeen ("King of Gnostics"). He was a 16th century Sufi saint of the Suhrawardi order who played a major role in the spread of Islamic teachings and spiritual reform in Kashmir.
